How does one remix a Coldplay song? They don't particularly leave themselves open to reinterpretation, but Mark Ronson has the answer - get rid of the dreary lead singer and replace him with a horn section! As he did with Radiohead's "Just", the New York-based DJ has turned a fairly mopey, but enjoyable, track into a block-busting party anthem. It's actually very hard to listen to this and imagine that Chris Martin had anything to do with it- it's poppy, upbeat, it doesn't outstay its welcome, and most importantly it's very danceable. Ronson is fast making a name for himself as the go-to guy for funky indie remixes - up next, Starsailor. Probably.
